The family spent a weekend at The Chedi, Muscat in celebration of Mommy Alice’s birthday. With the longest infinity pool in the Arabian Gulf, a choice of four different pools, nice beach and superb resort landscape (and of course, sumptuous food), it was a fantastic outing indeed!

21 January 2012
The family arrived from a week-long winter trip in Prague, Czech Republic. The return flight home took almost 24 hours, as we had to change planes three times (two layovers). The first leg of our trip was from Prague to Amsterdam, then Amsterdam to Bahrain, and finally from Bahrain to Muscat. We were finally able to reach home by 7:00am of 21st January.
16 January 2012
The family arrived in Prague after almost 10 hours of air travel. We went directly to Kutna Hora (a UNESCO Heritage site) and visited important sites there. Kutna Hora is about 60 miles away from Prague and is about 1 hour 30 minutes by car. We went back to Prague in the afternoon, checked in at our hotel very near the famous Charles Bridge, rested for a while watching the light snow falling from our hotel window which is also overlooking the Vltava River and Charles Bridge. Later in the evening, we had the popular Beef Ghoulash for dinner at the banks of the Vltava River.

We have finalized our next European Trip, a week-long trip to Prague, Czech Republic, to start on 15th January. The family is currently preparing its winter gear

1st – 2nd week of November 2011
Our recent international travel was in Munich, Germany. We stayed there for a week, making side trips to Fussen and Augsburg, as well as to Salzburg in Austria. It was the first week of autumn in Germany when we went there, and a week after the famous OktoberFest celebrations. The weather is starting to get cold, and thus, we had our first family experience of autumn in Europe.
