If you want an alternative foodie environment while on holiday, or even when just spending a weekend in Muscat, try the Jungle Restaurant, immediately located after Qurum Natural Park. It’s a refreshing alternative, as the restaurant provides simulated rain forest ambiance, which is definitely soothing amidst the usual high temperature of this region.
While entering the restaurant, one would encounter lots of greens – trees and shrubberies – which give an immediate relaxing feel. Kids will also be entertained as within the greens are statues of dinosaurs, crocodiles, tiki posts and other animals, as well as various sounds of birds and animals that give a feeling you’re inside the jungle. An added attraction is the periodic simulated rain showers, which the kids would surely love.
The family visited this place as Alice would like to buy some flowery plants – there’s a plant shop adjacent to the restaurant where you can buy various types of shrubs, which the shopkeeper claimed are imported directly from Holland. As we’re already there, we decided to have a sample of their dishes and found out that their specialties not only taste excellent, but are also light in the pocket.
How to get there:
After reaching the Qurum area, follow the road parallel to the Qurum Natural Park; the restaurant is near the Qurum Natural Park roundabout.
